  1. Bonjour,
How are you? We received your card yesterday. We are in grade 2, at Harold Hatcher School, in Winnipeg, Manitoba, Canada. We live in the province next to yours. We saw the video of your classroom. We have a map like yours and are going to use the yarn on our map, an idea that we got from you. We have a class library and a library in the middle of our school. We liked how you spoke French. We are learning a few words in French. We are wondering, how do you say school en Francais? You can visit our class blog at http://www.talesfromgrade2.blogspot.ca

  2. Bonjour! We are P6 in Largymore Primary School in Northern Ireland. Thank you for your Christmas card, it was very creative. We have a map of all the places we receive Christmas cards from too, but you seem to have more than we do.Please visit our blog http://www.largymorep6.blogspot.com and tell us more about your school. We were wondering why you speak French and English in school.

  3. Bonjour, I’m called Bobby. I’m from Largymore Primary School in P6. Thanks for your card, I thought it looked really nice! I would like to know so that I could tell the rest of my class, why do you speak French and English?

    Joyeux Noel!

    • Bonjour Bobby! We wrote a comment on your class’s blog explaining why we speak French and English. In Canada, we have two official languages: French and English. Most of Canada speaks English but we all try to learn both languages. Some schools offer programs called French Immersion, where English-speaking students go to school entirely in French. Our class is Grade 3 French Immersion. We have been going to school in French since Pre-Kindergarten (when we were 4 years old). Now we can speak French really well but we still prefer to speak English in our free time because it’s easier! Do you learn English and Gaelic? Are there any Gaelic immersion schools? Thanks for commenting on our blog. Have you added a book to our wiki?
